Summer of mountain biking at Buck Hill
If you are looking for the “inner rider” that you know exists, join us at Buck Hill for a summer of mountain biking fun and learning for the entire family with new youth and adult mountain biking programming. Classes will be available for youth, men, and women. Mountain bike camps are designed with an emphasis on achieving safe, injury-free riding through the establishment and continuous refinement of core skills. The course also enhances the mountain cyclist’s experience of riding on natural terrain. Programs are conveniently located at Buck Hill right off 35W. Details coming soon at www.buckhill.com.

Larger than life fun at the Minnesota Zoo
This summer, bring your family to the Minnesota Zoo, where amazing lives and dinosaurs roam! See life-like Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Allosaurus and more. You can even snap a selfie with a T. rex. (Just watch out for the Dilophosaurus – he spits.) The Minnesota Zoo is the only place your family can experience dinosaurs and some of their living friends who survived extinction. Valleyfair celebrates 40 years
This summer, Valleyfair will mark its 40th anniversary with a season-long celebration that includes the return of an original ride, an all-new extreme sports show, throwback-inspired
entertainment and a full summer of special events.
Guests will have a chance to earn their wings as the park reintroduces the Flying Eagles, an original ride package in 1976, see All Wheels Extreme, a finalist on NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent” at the newly renovated amphitheater, and enjoy a summer filled with throwback-inspired entertainments and other special events! www.valleyfair.com
Como Town Amusement Park’s countdown to opening
Como Town Amusement Park at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory in Saint Paul will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 for its 11th season. Como Town Amusement Park includes more than 18 rides and attractions for kids of all ages including the Tiger Trax Roller Coaster, a family-friendly coaster custom made for Como Town by SBF Group in Italy. The jungle-themed Tiger Trax coaster cars are custom painted to look like Como Zoo’s Siberian tigers. The figure-eight roller coaster has 1,100 feet of track.
Como Town will be open the weekend of April 23 & 24; Friday, May 1 – Sunday, May 3; Friday May 8 – Sunday, May 10 and every day beginning Friday, May 13 through Labor Day, Monday, September 5; and, then weekends through September 25. FASHION & FUN! Spring & summer events at Twin Cities Premium Outlets
Twin Cities Premium Outlets will be hosting an event for ladies called CELEBRATING MOM’s on Saturday, May 7 from 11am – 3pm. Giraffe feedings and blooming butterflies at Como Zoo
Como’s new giraffe feeding station opens with a celebration the weekend of May 21 & 22. Get closer than ever to the gentle giants of Como Zoo. For a small fee, visitors will be able check out their beautiful unique spots up-close and look straight into their eyes as they come right up, extend their long tongues and gently scoop snacks from your hand.
Also, back by popular demand (after a 5-year hiatus) is Blooming Butterflies! Visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves amongst the hundreds of butterflies from Africa, Asia, North, Central and South America flying freely inside a 2,500 square foot greenhouse exhibit.
