Your time for recognition has arrived!

Spring has sprung! The time of year when our snow-covered community comes alive with green grass, budding trees, colorful flowering blossoms, and numerous other plants (many native to our area), has finally arrived. Burnsville is bursting with pristine, well-manicured roadways, trails, parks and gardens.

Keeping the community visually appealing is not only a top priority for the City of Burnsville, but for its residents and businesses as well. Together, they play a vital role in adding to the lovely and diverse landscape we all enjoy. Civic pride abounds in Burnsville, which makes finding beautiful displays to admire an easy task.

Attention Gardening Gurus

For the past three years, the Burnsville Convention & Visitors Bureau (BCVB), with help from Cal’s Market & Garden Center, has spearheaded an annual Garden & Landscape Contest. This contest not only gives us a chance to recognize and highlight these amazing displays, but also reward those that help keep our community looking gorgeous.

Burnsville Convention & Visitors Bureau (BCVB) Executive Director, Amie Burrill, stated, “This event gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation to residents and business owners who keep the community looking great. Having a city with widespread visual appeal makes our job of attracting visitors much easier”.

Gardening and landscaping is cool.

The popularity of this contest has grown significantly since its inception, with nominations steadily increasing each year.  Both small and large entries are welcome. We’ve seen every kind of entry – from small porch gardens to multi-acre spreads by residents and businesses.
